Head MOUNTAIN GUIDE
Born in Freiburg, home in Brixen (Tyrol)
It is not the names, heights and numbers of a mountain, but the very
personal experience with it that fascinates us.
As a native of Freiburg, raised at the foothills of the Black Forest, I got in touch with a passion for skiing at a young age.
My initial reluctance to spend the weekends hiking with the family transformed into enthusiasm when my father
packed the rope into the backpack. From then on, I was to be gradually introduced to the many facets of alpinism.
The sense of raw nature, experiencing one’s own limits and strengths, and sharing
the joy and enthusiasm of doing so with like-minded people is the essence of an unforgettable day.
No matter if on rock, ice or snow. The elements of nature light up my eyes and inspire me every time. To give you an understanding of this blissful joy is one of the most beautiful things about my profession as a mountain guide.
Addition: Humble as Dominik is, he would almost not have told you about his numerous first ascents around the world
and his level of professionalism as a leading instructor of aspiring mountain guides.
